Just few days Bing was installed as the default search. that is to say when i open a new tab, the address i would enter in the address bar would be taken as the search input by Bing and therefore i had to go through this search engine unnecessarily. Below is the given screenshot.
I badly wanted to get rid of this Bing and revert the changes to Google. At first i tried to change the search engine settings under the section settings->Manage Search Engine. I even tried to restore the Google chrome settings by selctig restore under settings.
I made Google as the default Search engine but to of no use. The next step was i checked the programs and to my surprise, there was no Bing installed.
Finally i found the solution. when i opened a new tab, in the left bottom corner of the Bing Search engine there was an option restore(Highlighted with yellow mark in the below screenshot). Upon clicking this, the Search engine is now changed to Google :)
